Finally, Spring has come around here in Tokyo! Lots of beautiful cherry blossoms everywhere in Tokyo:)
Today I am about to write about <Why a lot of foreigners choose Japanese share house>
There are some reasons to choose share house here in Tokyo, I am happy to share with you today!
- Low move-in costs : If you want to rent an apartment in Japan, you need to pay for a key money around ＄100, cleaning fee around ＄200~＄300, agency fee (usually same as the rent for a month), deposit, etc. It usually costs around ＄2000 only for registration. It is way too expensive for foreigner to pay since you just arrive here in Japan without any job yet. But, If you choose a Japanese share house, there is no needs to pay ＄2000 for registration! No Cleaning fee, Deposit, etc.. If you choose XROSS HOUSE, it is only 30,000yen($300) for the registration.
- No need to wait : Yes, if you want to rent an apartment in Japan, you need to wait for screening, waiting for a vacancy over a month, a lot of procedure. But if you choose a Japanese share house, you can move in ASAP! if a property is not available at the moment, you can stay at different property for a while then switch to a property you want later WITHOUT extra charges in XROSS HOUSE.
- Short term stay : If you rent an apartment, the contract period is usually for 2 years. but you can stay minimum 1 month in XROSS HOUSE. Just let us know your moving out date 1 month in advance. there is no problem to move out!
- No need to buy appliances : There are bed, bedding, desk, chair, light, air conditioner in a room(in case of private room), Rice cooker, Eletronic kettle, Toaster, Microwave, Refrigerator in the kitchen, TV, DVD player in the living room.
- Diversity : actually 80% of tenants are Japanese in XROSS HOUSE, the rest of them are from all over the world. You can learn Japanese living with Japanese people, also share some difficulties as a foreigner with other tenants from different countries. We also have some regular events for all tenants for communication and just having fun together!
There are some other reasons to choose a Japanese share house too. But I think it’s enough to simply understand why people are choosing share house in Japan during their stay here.
